Interesting!
One thing I noticed in the english translations of the SAFIR
announcements was that it would "relay" any packets heard. There was no
mention of "digipeating" or of what callsign to use, although the email
did include the callsign. Could it be that they programmed SAFIR to
relay every packet no matter whether it was indicated for digipeat or
not?
If you received those at 9600 baud on the 145.825 downlink, then it is
doubtful that the sender made a double mistake of transmitting on the
downlink using the wrong baudrate and also then got a lucky meteorscatter
bounce.... to boot..
