Hello all,
I remember that some time ago somebody has asked where he can listen to
the LEILA siren to become acquainted with. I have made a recording of
LEILA and you may wish to listen to it at www.amsat-dl.org/leila.wav.
Pse keep in mind that the tone varies with your frequency tuning in
real live on the satellite. BTW I have observed that LEILA is punching
a ca. 10 kHz wide notch into the passband so that also neigboured
stations could be affected. So don't be surprised if your signal
becomes suddenly very weak and is back in full strength after a
certain time. Then LEILA was acting on a neighbour frequency. Good to
have a panoramic receiver like me to analyze the case.
