Art, try reversing your entries for lat/lon.

Well, I tried it here at work on a redhat 8 system. After I added all of the
packages it required, it came up ok.
Couple of questions, though. It doesn't seem to know where
the nasa.tle file is, because no satellites show up in the window to be
added.
Also, I entered the lat/lon of my QTH and was surprised to
find I live somewhere near Greenland!
