Hello all! Thanks so much for all of the great ideas, etc!
I would like to try using my HT to help aim my downlink antenna for AO-40 --
for my temporary setup (no rotators)...
I've read a couple articles that mentioned doing this. They suggested using
a T connector at the downconverter (between the feed line going to
the shack, and the downconverter), and installing a dc blocking capacitor on
the third side to keep the downconverter's DC from reaching the HT.
Has anyone done this? Any ideas for a quick, easy solution? Once I peak the
downlink signal, I can remove the HT and go inside and operate..
Thanks!
