I tried with a HAM-II and despite major efforts never could get it to work
right.  The problem (IIRC - it's been several years) was that one side of
the power for the brake release was common with the wiper of the position
reporting pot.  I never could get the hum out of the digitized reading.
Drove the software crazy trying to chase it.
