Another possibility is to QSY to many of the other UI digipeating
satellites and IGate all packets heard into the Internet. These are all
the satelites which have or will have AX.25 baud UI downlinks contining
much user messages and data:
ISS 1200 baud on 145.800 Working great
PCsat 1200 baud on 145.825 Working great (somketimes sun only)
OPAL 9600 baud on 437.1 Needs to be checked
Sapphire 1200 baud up on 145.945 and down on 437.1
Satellites in development:
PCsat2 1200 baud on 145.825
9600 baud on 145.825
ISS Phase 2 1200 and 9600 baud on 145.800 (or other)
ANDE 1200 baud on 145.825
CRAFT 1200 baud on 145.825
Cubesats??? TBD
So there are many AX.25 downlinks that need to be monitored and fed live
into the Internet for worldwide distribution. Some of these dowlinks can
work well with OMNI antennas on the ground. Others need tracking
antennas. Those that need tracking antennnas are the ones that are best
served by PACSAT SATGate type statiuons because they already have the
tracking systems...
