[amsat-bb] EU Mission to Mars

The preparation for Europe.s mission to Mars is nearing completion as it
heads towards the final stages. The Beagle 2 Lander is due to be
transported from the UK to France in January next year when it will be
attached to the European Space Agency's (ESA) Mars Express spacecraft. 

The Mars Express spacecraft is the fastest-built satellite of its type
in the history of space engineering. By using technology previously
developed for other satellites ESA have dramatically cut the amount of
time taken from concept to build. This has also cut the cost of the
mission without compromising its quality.
