Actually, you do have choices. Even though if you buy a system from a 
major manufacturer, you'll be required to *buy* a copy of what 
Microsoft wants you to have today, you still have a choice as to what 
to *run*. Until Sen. Fritz Hollings (D, Disney) gets his law passed, 
anyway. 
 
I guess it's a matter of whether you're engineering your own equipment 
or buying a consumer electronic appliance.
