Falconsat-2 story
For those who may be interested here is a link to a decent story about
Falconsat-2 currently being built at the Air Force Academy. While not an
Amateur satellite it is designed using much of the technology developed for
small Amateur satellites over the past several years. Core electronics
sub-systems are from SSTL and are the latest iteration of the SNAP hardware
as flown in SNAPSat a couple of years ago. Structure, the instruments, sun
sensors, wiring and other components are built at the AFA.
In the interest of full disclosure, I'm one of the 'contractor support'
people mentioned :)
