Yeah, that's a VFO.

Good point. Having never owned such a full duplex transceiver, that
didn't immediately occur to me. Separate radios have always seemed
more, well, orthogonal.

So treat them as two separate radios that happen to be in the same
box, each with a single VFO... :-)
