[amsat-bb] FT847/Packet via software

Can anyone tell me where the data out, data in and PTT go when working packet 
via software, instead of TNC??  Which packet software is simplest to 
operate..??
Take me by the hand....step by step on interfacing computer and 847 for packet
I have the cable..CT-39
