They suffered a pretty big computer crash up there and had to go back 
to the ground VHF radio system.  Perhaps they turned it off as a 
precautionary thing since they are on the analog radios?  As of 8am 
pacific time they were just getting k band low rate telem and command 
back up with high rate expected in a few hours.
