Hi Richard,

Yes, RS-12 Mode K propagation does stretch over the horizon, but the bad 
news is that this is rarely of use to a portable station because OTH 
signals tend to be weak enough to require a pretty good antenna to make use 
of them. John Branigan, GM4IHJ has written quite a lot about OTH 
experiments on Mode K by himself, NM7M, G3IOR and others, which can be 
found by searching the archived satgen bulletins on www.amsat.org.
