Is the AO40 alon increasing 1 degree per day, as stated on the AMSAT-DL web site?
Or is it increasing 0.7 to 0.8 degree per day, as predicted by Peter Guelzow on 29 December:
Date Alon Alat
-----------------------
2002 Jan 08 300 -10
2002 Jan 15 300 -5
2002 Jan 22 300 0
2002 Feb 19 320 0
2002 Mar 19 340 0
2002 Apr 13 360 0
-----------------------
My main concern is to know what the squint angle will be for a hamfest AO40 demonstration on 24 March. Using the "1 degree per day prediction", the alon would be 356 on 24 March, giving good squint angles for the hamfest. Using Peter's prediction the alon would be 344 on March 24, giving marginal squint angles for the hamfest.
